WHAT OUR CLUBS SAY?
We now work with over 250 clubs across the UK. See what they say...
We are delighted with our new website created by Golf Club Network. The nominated account manager could not have been more helpful and friendly. The set-up was completely trouble free. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to any golf club wishing to upgrade their website.

How many times have you received emails that are totally irrelevant to you? I imagine many times. Unfortunately, mass advertising is often untargeted, impersonal and irrelevant - which is why your database is so important.
The importance of your database
To illustrate the point of targeting your message to your audience, you would never think of using your visitor database to inform them of member competitions. Similarly, you wouldn't email your members with the latest green fee prices - unless of course you're wanting to encourage member guest green fees.
Here's how to make your database work for you...
Only collect the information you need
For e-marketing, you only need to know name and email address initially. Should you plan to do future SMS texting, collect mobile phone numbers.
Collect more 'preference' data at a later date
Identify what interests them e.g. details on competitions, social events, lessons, equipment offers etc.
Identify the 'category' of golfer in your database
e.g. visitor, member (5 day, 7 day, senior, junior, men, women, social)
Use your database to select the best audience for your offer
e.g. visitors interested in mixed events
Keep your data up-to-date
Put mechanisms in place so that your members and visitors can easily update their details. This is usually done through a unique login.
Treat your audience as individuals
Personalise your offers and your communication. In short, this tip is the more you know about someone, the better you are at providing them with information that is relevant to them, and the more successful your communications will be.
