Sir Robin Miller - Chairman
Sir Robin Miller is Chairman of Gemini Network Media and one of the
architects of the modern media scene in the UK.
Robin Miller was Chief Executive (1985-98 and 2001-03) and Chairman
(1998-2001) of Emap plc, one of the UK's leading media groups with
businesses including consumer and trade publishing, commercial radio and
music TV channels and events. In 2003, Robin became senior media adviser to
HgCapital, a leading investor in the European private equity market with
funds under management of some £900 million, where he was involved in the
successful disposal of Boosey & Hawkes and Clarion Events. He was previously
a non executive director of Channel 4 Television (1999-2006), and was
Chairman of their New Business Board, was Non-Executive Chairman of the HMV
Group (2004-2005), Senior Non-Executive Director at Mecom Group plc
(2005-2009), Chairman of Entertainment Rights plc (2008-2009) and Setanta
Sports in 2009.
Robin is currently also a non-executive director of The Racing Post and Time
Out Group, Chairman of IBIS Media VCT plc, Chairman of Edge Media VCT,
Getmemedia.com Limited and Crash Media Group, a director of
Bikesportnews.com and a Trustee of the Golf Foundation and Riders for
Health.
Simon Kimble - Non Executive Director
Simon launched Gemini Network Media in 2006 after recognising changing trends in the industry and the growing needs for innovative solutions to help market the game and golf clubs.
He is one of the leading names in the exhibitions industry. He has launched over 20 events including BBC Good Food Show, The Television Show, The Restaurant Show, Destinations, Brand Licensing and The London Programme Market.
Simon is Chief Executive of Clarion Events and is responsible for growing the business from a UK centric £15m turnover in 2004 to an International £80m turnover today.
Jane Carter - Managing Director
Jane was previously the Director of Golf Unlimited, a company specialising in marketing, media and public relations for the wider golf industry and golf clubs before the company was acquired by Gemini Network Media in May 2009. Jane has worked as the Golf Club Marketing consultant to the English Golf Union, regularly delivering marketing workshops to golf clubs as well as working individually with clubs of all sizes.
Jane is also the former publisher and editor of Golf Monthly magazine and has worked for more than 20 years in the industry, initially running her own media company before joining IPC Media, publisher of Golf Monthly, in 1997.
In her role as Managing Director for Gemini Network Media, she will continue to work closely with clubs alongside the team at Golf Unlimited. She is also responsible for the overall management of Gemini Network Media and its business strategy, new product launches and the successful delivery of the company's current portfolio.
David Bishop - IT Director
With a background in software architecture in the banking & health sectors David brings a wealth of software development knowledge which ensures the systems at Gemini are secure, reliable and internet ready. David has under taken two degree's at Oxford Brookes University, his second a Masters in Web Technologies lead him to develop an innovative approach to evaluating clinical scientists online for the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital.
At Gemini Network Media, David heads up the IT strategy for the company and the systems which are developed by our team of developers and supported by our friendly account managers. As a company David ensures that we strive for excellence in our software development, making sure we take advantage of both the leading community written internet technologies on an open source platform.
At the same time we are proud to be a Microsoft partner keeping our data storage and business logic wrapped in a reliable commercially standardised architecture.
